iTunesTouch source code on Googlecode

itunestouch21

I started iTunesTouch with the intention of creating a great free touchscreen product. My time has however not been available recently… mainly due to the arrival of my little girl (now 4 months old!).

I’ve had several requests for source code so other members of the community can keep the software going. I have now created a repository on Google Code. However, I’ve never used it.

If anyone wants to help with the coding, then please head over to http://code.google.com/p/itunestouch/

Reply to this post to let me know if you’re interested and I can add you as a developer. If anyone has any tips on how to use Google Code to get me started, that’d help a lot!!

There’s no code there yet – I need to head back home to get that. Hopefully I will upload it later this evening.

[Update 08 April 2011]
Finally got around to uploading the code. Take a look and let me know any problems etc.

    Hi Matt,

So glad you didnt lose it all!

Can anyone give me any pointers on how to access this stuff? (Im a programmer for a living, thats not the issue – Ive just never done any collaborative work like this before and havent got a clue where to start!)

How about a bugs/suggestions list? (I have found a few things, and have a few suggestions).

    Cheers,

    Anthony

I’m in the same boat Anthony! I think you have to create a new branch to work on – then someone (me I guess) would merge this once it’s complete to the master code. I have NO idea how to do that though!?

I can set up a discussion group in google which will link to the main code page I think. There we can discuss bugs & feature suggestions.

I think you have to use http://code.google.com/p/itunestouch/issues/list to create a new issue. These can be bugs, suggestions etc.

    Matt

Can you add me as a member of the project. This will allow updating etc of the code.

    Thanks
